It seems like a harsh statement, but if you understand the motive of the ego. It makes total sense that we would want to find others weaknesses to feel our own strengths. It becomes a comparative thing. The Holy Spirit asks that we let Him/Her be our guide when trying to help another and seek not to share pain, but rise about it.
