Chicago man accused in Lee County of swindling $40K under claims of ‘hacked’ Apple account: sheriff
A sheriff's office reported that an individual in Paw Paw was defrauded of $40,000. The victim was led to believe their Apple account was hacked and then instructed by someone posing as an FBI agent to pay money to apprehend the supposed hacker.
