Rice, Beans, and Scenes
Film, TV & Pop Culture
About
Rice, Beans, and Scenes is a weekly, light-hearted movie podcast hosted by Andrew (“Beans”) and Sarah (“Rice”), a married duo whose movie habits are as different as their nicknames. Andrew (Beans) is a true cinephile with encyclopedic knowledge of film across every genre. He can speak in movie lines and pop-culture references for an entire day without repeating himself. Sarah (Rice) loves movies just as much, but with the memory of a goldfish—she’ll forget character names, plot points, and sometimes whether she’s even seen a film before. Her reactions are genuine, funny, and often completely unpredictable. While they both adore movies, their tastes don't always align—which is the fun of it. Each week, they trade picks : one week Sarah chooses the movie and they dive into it together; the next week Andrew takes his turn. The result is a playful blend of silly jokes, heartfelt commentary, pop-culture tangents, character deep dives, and the unmistakable chemistry of two people who love each other—and movies—even when they disagree.
