Rhode Island's Roadkill Salvage Program: A Wild Success

Rhode Island's roadkill salvage program, launched in April 2025, has successfully issued 147 permits for nine species, including 118 for white-tailed deer. The program allows residents to collect roadkill, reducing the workload for state crews and providing meat for meals.
