The Bombing of United Air Flight 629
United Airlines flight 629 from Denver to Seattle exploded in the air on November 1, 1955, killing all 44 people on board. Investigators concluded that the explosion was caused by a suitcase bomb, marking the first time a passenger plane had been bombed in the United States.
