Nice Ain't Enough
People think being nice is enough because it’s the most socially acceptable substitute for holiness. It lets you feel spiritual without surrender… look righteous without transformation… and avoid being cruel while staying unchallenged, unrepentant, and unchanged. “I’m a good person” has become the modern-day fig leaf. “I don’t bother anybody.” “I’m kind.” “I help people.” And yes—that’s better than being cruel. But here’s the truth: 👉 God never said niceness was the standard.
