Let’s clear something up this morning—because some of us have been quoting scripture… and misinterpreting it at the same time. In Philippians 4:11 Paul says: “I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.” Now somewhere along the way… “content” got translated into: “Stay down.” “Don’t want more.” “Just accept whatever happens.” And respectfully… that’s not Bible—that’s complacency and the spirit of idleness talking.
