Emotions & Feelings
Emotions are beautiful… until they start running the show. God gave us emotions, but He never gave them the position of authority. Before we act like emotions are the enemy, let’s remember something: God Himself expresses emotion. Jesus wept ( John 11:35 ) Jesus felt compassion for the crowd ( Matthew 9:36 ) God expresses righteous anger ( Psalm 7:11 ) So no—feeling deeply is not your flaw. It’s evidence you were made in His image. Emotions are the alert system of the soul. They let you know something matters. Joy says, “This is good.” Grief says, “This was valuable.” Anger says, “Something is out of order.” That’s the gift.
