Funkier Sounds Episode 154 - Discoholic Ken Guest Mix
This episode was part tribute to two legendary women who have sadly left us recently - Roberta Flack and Gwen McCrae. Two tracks from each in my hour, and what wonderful tracks they are too. I also played a load of new promos in the second half, and ended on a bloody classic. Hour two was the second guest mix appearance from my good Danish friend and boss of Discoholics Anonymous Recordings, Ken Avalon - AKA Discoholic Ken. Ken’s a top guy and his record label has quietly become one of the very best out there, and one I’ve released a few tracks on. Ken’s mix is slinky disco vibes, keeping the tempo down around 110 for the duration, and there’s another Gewn McCrae track in there too, which is lovely.
