Easter At Constance 2026
This powerful Easter message confronts us with the most transformative truth in human history: the empty tomb. Drawing from Luke 24, we're reminded that disappointment is universal, but resurrection hope changes everything. The women who came to Jesus' tomb expecting to find a corpse instead encountered angels asking the most profound question imaginable: 'Why do you seek the living among the dead?' Their skepticism mirrors our own modern doubts, yet the historical evidence is undeniable. The empty tomb cannot be explained away by theories of theft or deception. The disciples, who cowered in fear, would not have died horrific deaths for a fabricated story. What we discover is that Jesus didn't just demonstrate love by dying for our sins; He validated that love by conquering death itself. His resurrection is God's way of stamping 'paid in full' across human history. This means that when we trust in Christ, what is true of Him becomes true of us: death no longer has the final word. We don't gather annually to remember a dead martyr, but to celebrate a living Savior who offers us an eternally bright future. The resurrection answers why Christians handle suffering differently; it's because we know our story doesn't end in a grave.
